By the time winter arrives, the ice has solidified and is sculpted into the most breathtaking and artistic accommodations imaginable. This year’s iteration is identified as ICEHOTEL 29, with the designation changing annually; for instance, the next will be ICEHOTEL 30.
The ICEHOTEL 365 operates year-round and maintains temperatures below freezing even during the summer months. This captivating establishment features some of the most aesthetically pleasing rooms imaginable. It also houses an incredible ice bar, perfectly suited for enjoying cocktails.
The Kaamos offers a warmer accommodation option, providing respite from the frigid arctic temperatures prevalent in winter. Typically, during a three-day visit, guests enjoy one night in the ICEHOTEL and two nights in the warmer Kaamos rooms.

As a guest of the ICEHOTEL, you get the opportunity to explore the hotel and its various rooms at any time during the day, with no additional charge for guests.
2.) Enjoy a drink at the ice bar
Situated within the ICEHOTEL 365, the ice bar is a remarkable venue for an enjoyable evening or for having a nightcap before resting on ice. Visit the bar, sample their cocktails, and don the provided thermal suit upon arrival for warmth.
3.) Ice Sculpting
During your visit to the ICEHOTEL, you can engage in an ice sculpting masterclass, which typically lasts around two hours. Participants are provided with a substantial block of ice to create their own sculptures.
While mine may not have turned out as intended, other guests crafted stunning pieces of art; my creation resembled a three-legged ogre!

Head chef Alex (Alexander Meiers) exemplifies remarkable culinary talent. We experienced the culinary delight of dining at the chef’s table at the Veranda, which presented a 12-course tasting menu featuring some of the most exquisite dishes ever offered.
Coupled with ample sparkling beverages, this dining experience offered a splendid conclusion to a day spent in the outdoors.
6.) Dog Sledding
On your winter visit to the ICEHOTEL, embark on a thrilling dog sled ride across the frozen rivers, providing a picturesque journey into the Arctic scenery. Lasting about 90 minutes, the excursion includes a stop at a cozy tent with a log fire, where guests can enjoy hot coffee, tea, and a generous slice of cake.
