Address: 89-113 Kent St, Millers Point, Sydney NSW 2000
Upon arriving at the airport (having traveled from the Sunshine Coast), we were initially uncertain about navigating public transport. Nonetheless, we soon discovered that the train provided a direct route to our destination. After a few stops and a brief five-minute walk from the station, we reached our first accommodation, The Langham Sydney. A welcoming presence of pink dog bowls at the entrance indicated we had arrived among fellow dog enthusiasts. From the moment we checked in, we were thoroughly impressed by the impeccable detailing throughout the hotel.
The lobby was nothing short of exquisite, featuring polished marble surfaces and fresh floral arrangements. Additionally, there was a selection of merchandise tailored for canine companions, confirming their dog-friendly policies. Regrettably, there were no pets checking in during our visit. Following check-in, we were escorted to our room, where we were graciously welcomed with high tea in a beautifully appointed space that offered us a true sense of comfort for our next 24 hours – we genuinely wished we could extend our stay.
After enjoying the high tea in our accommodation, I indulged at The Langham’s Day Spa By Chuan to conclude the afternoon. Experiencing my first facial treatment was a revelation, and for those who have not yet tried one, it is an experience not to be missed. My beauty therapist Anna provided valuable recommendations for treatments and skincare routines to address regular breakouts. Therefore, I wholeheartedly endorse this experience; I am now completely enamored with facials!
The location of The Langham is conveniently situated just a few minutes from the best cafes and restaurants Sydney has to offer. Culinary options such as burger establishments, Italian cuisine, steakhouses, seafood, and other delightful eateries are all within walking distance from this exquisite property. We spent our inaugural evening sharing laughter at a new favorite burger bar, where we indulged in cocktails that led to a dulled memory of the establishment’s name.
The Pullman on Quay
Address: 61 Macquarie Street, 2000, Sydney
We rose the following day and proceeded to our next accommodation, The Pullman on Quay. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, celebrating the beginning of a splendid holiday. This hotel, positioned on the harbour adjacent to the Sydney Opera House, offers breathtaking views. After settling in, I explored the streets of The Rocks and crossed the Sydney Harbour Bridge to visit Luna Park and the Sydney Olympic Pool. On our return through the lobby, we chose to spend the afternoon at the hotel’s renowned restaurant, Hacienda. We concluded another delightful day by watching the sunset over the harbour while indulging in some of the finest cocktails I have ever sampled.
The second day at The Pullman commenced with an exquisitely fulfilling and fresh breakfast served via room service, which we enjoyed on our balcony while taking in the captivating view. After savoring every delightful bite of our feast, we ambled to the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Botanic Gardens, both conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the hotel. The Pullman is the ideal hotel for anyone seeking a prime location. I am undoubtedly looking forward to returning in the near future!
