During our inaugural visit to the Maldives, the intention was to remain there for two weeks; however, we were captivated by the enchanting beauty of Sri Lanka, leading to a reallocation of our time between both destinations. Consequently, we spent five days in the Maldives (six nights in total) and a week in Sri Lanka.
While our time in Sri Lanka was thoroughly enjoyable, a mere five days in the Maldives felt insufficient. Upon returning to the UK, I found myself wishing we had dedicated more time to the Maldives and began devising plans for a return to these spectacular islands.
What began as a plan soon transformed into reality, and before long, we found ourselves airborne once again and en route to one of the most remarkable island resorts I have had the privilege of enjoying – The Angsana Velavaru.
Upon arrival, we were promptly escorted to our residence for the forthcoming days – an In-Ocean sunset villa!
In addition to their prime ocean locations, the Angsana Velavaru Ocean villas possess unique characteristics that elevate them beyond standard water villas connected to a ‘mainland’ through a bridge. These ocean villas are independent, and while they are easily accessible through a brief boat ride, they provide an entirely distinct experience of the Maldives, akin to ‘connected escapism’ – a customized term that embodies indulgence without compromise.
