Budapest is undoubtedly one of the cities that occupy a spot on many travel itineraries. Regardless of its position on that list, it is evident that visitors return from this city with admiration and an eagerness to revisit. The city boasts a rich historical background, remarkable architecture, and some of the finest vistas in Europe. Previous discussions on attractions in Budapest here, followed by another article highlighting night sightseeing here, and a brief overview of dining options here, have provided insight into the city, but this time, the focus is on accommodations, specifically the Corinthia Hotel.

During my search for lodging in Budapest, I typically entered my travel dates into the hotel website and was pleasantly surprised when this particular hotel appeared. I believe I did a double take upon viewing the price and felt an urge to secure the reservation to avoid any possible error on the website. As I am keen on maximizing my budget, I immediately proceeded with the reservation, which at the time was approximately £70 per night.

The Corinthia brand is among the most esteemed hotel chains globally, and this establishment offers competitive pricing for a five-star experience, particularly appealing to visitors from the UK and other regions in Europe and the US. If one were to attempt booking a similar property in London, the expenses would be exorbitant. Thus, taking advantage of the opportunity to experience luxurious accommodations while in Budapest seems reasonable.
Its central location is exceptionally advantageous for sightseeing.
The spa amenities are commendable, encouraging guests to dedicate time for relaxation and unwinding.
Complimentary sweets can often be found throughout the hotel. Although the availability may have changed since my last visit, I was known to discreetly gather these treats during my strolls around the hotel (I do confess to having a sweet tooth!).
The grandeur of the establishment is palpable, creating a sophisticated ambiance that positively influences one’s experience of Budapest—until, of course, the inevitable rain interferes, challenging even the most frugal umbrella choices.
