Summary
We arrived in the evening and made a direct approach to our lodging for the night – the Cornarro Hotel. This hotel is ideally situated for exploring Split, as it is just a short walk from the city’s main attractions.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with sweets and a bottle of Croatian wine! (They certainly know how to welcome guests!)
After settling into our rooms, we proceeded downstairs for dinner, which I initially thought I had photographed, yet I cannot seem to find the images. Regardless, it was one of those meals where you realize just how much you can indulge!
I almost forgot to mention—and this is quite noteworthy—each guest receives an iPad upon check-in that facilitates activity planning, keeping connected with the world, and optimizing your time in Split!
The following day, we dedicated most of the morning to exploring Solta Island before returning to Split in the afternoon… Oh, and by the way, we were joined by James on this trip! We had met him the previous evening for the first time, and he is undoubtedly one of the most jovial individuals I have come across!
The exploration of Split turned out to be an enriching experience, embodying the essence of simply discovering the streets without a map, and letting the city guide us…
It truly required significant self-control not to roll one of those barrels from the store home with me!
The ancient charm of this city contributes significantly to its allure. Underneath the rustic exterior lies a captivating history tied to the remarkable people of Dalmatia…
As we journeyed towards Diocletian’s Palace, we valued the sights along the way. At one point, driven by the splendid weather, thoughts of indulging in ice cream consumed my mind until we finally arrived at the entrance of Diocletian’s Palace.
Of course, all while relishing the magnificent sights. It was fortunate that I finally managed to fulfill my ice cream craving in the end! 😉
