As you may already be aware, we enjoyed our time in Valencia immensely.
We had been participating in hot air ballooning, indulging in midnight feasts, and explored a myriad of experiences that awaited us in Valencia, so understandably, I was quite enthusiastically engaged throughout our visit.
On this specific morning, however (following breakfast at the hotel), we commenced our day in Valencia in the same culinary spirit that we concluded the previous evening—with plentiful exquisite food, albeit of the Michelin-starred variety this time.
This experience promised to be unique and extraordinary Michelin star dining.
We would have the unique opportunity to meet the chef in the market, select ingredients for our meal, and witness our cuisine being sourced from local suppliers directly to our tables.
Admittedly, I am not the most adept market assistant, as I found myself captivated by the fresh produce available.
Conversely, most of my time was consumed by savoring every culinary delight I could find.
Ultimately, I departed the market feeling thoroughly bewildered regarding the ingredients we had procured for lunch.
Fortunately, my companion Lloyd remained attentive. Thankfully!
Eventually, we returned to the restaurant where we continued our lunch experience with seared fish.
The dessert featured a poached peach accompanied by a unique rendition of meringues.
Following our meal, we set out in search of the Holy Grail—quite literally.
Numerous locations assert to house the Holy Grail (with some suggesting multiple Grails exist), while the one in Valencia is predominantly regarded as the original.
This remarkable artifact attracts visitors annually and is a notable sight when visiting the city.
The Holy Grail is housed in Valencia Cathedral, an impressive structure in its own right.
Let us embark on a short tour of this remarkable edifice, shall we?
The Holy Grail is preserved in its own designated room within the cathedral, dating back over 2,000 years.
This detail alone is impressive and encountering such a significant historical artifact is both surreal and challenging to capture through photography.
After spending a few moments at this extraordinary site, we departed the Cathedral to embark on a new adventure exploring what the city had to offer its visitors!
