This article represents a departure from our usual content. It is inherently personal, reflecting upon my recent graduation from The University of Cambridge. In light of the numerous messages of congratulations received via Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, I felt compelled to share an extensive collection of photos from this momentous occasion. It is fitting to acknowledge that GoTravelDaily was first conceived in Cambridge during breaks between demanding assignments, thus enriching the context of this sharing.
The events commenced with a wine reception, followed by a luncheon at my college. Subsequently, we participated in a dress rehearsal before proceeding to the traditional graduation ceremony, which involved a walk through town to the Senate House. As I compose this, I realize that the photographs from that segment were captured on my phone. I will strive to share those soon on Instagram as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
A multitude of family and friends of the graduates gathered at the Senate House, eagerly awaiting the commencement of the ceremony (at this juncture, Lloyd was in possession of the camera while I took the longer route to the Senate House).
The ceremony itself was relatively brief, followed by a lively photography session. Enthusiastic family members, friends, and fellow graduates posed in various configurations in front of the camera to immortalize this significant event. If it were feasible to perform cartwheels in that robe without losing balance, I would have done so!
Ultimately, I made my way to acquire some memorabilia, pausing briefly for additional photographs around Cambridge. …
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their kind words and messages! I have cherished reading each one, even though I am not always prompt in my responses. Your support truly means a great deal to me, and I sincerely appreciate it.
