Upon departing from the splendid Pena Palace, we proceeded to our next destination in Sintra – the Moorish Castle (also referred to as The Castle of The Moors, depending on your preferred nomenclature).
The Moorish Castle is conveniently situated a short walking distance from Pena Palace’s entrance, making it a sensible next stop after admiring the grandeur of Pena Palace.
The view from this vantage point is remarkable as it not only offers an outstanding perspective of Sintra, but also features Pena Palace and The Palace of Sintra in the background.
Fortunately, by the time we arrived at the castle, the sun shone brightly over the castle grounds, inviting exploration.
