Summary
We were deliberately kept unaware of many elements of our itinerary in Valencia, which certainly constituted an impressive surprise schedule. Thus, we were unaware that a hot air balloon ride awaited us the following morning after our thrilling tango experience!
The next day, we arose quite early and journeyed to Sierra De Mariola, located about an hour from the city center, to observe the preparation of our hot air balloons!
Following a brief coffee break, we observed the crew preparing the balloons.
The morning chill was palpable as the sun had yet to emerge from behind the mountains; however, the warmth from the flames used to generate the hot air provided some relief.
Your enthusiasm only intensified as we prepared for takeoff. Once in the basket, we ascended into the sky!
Ascending higher with each moment, we were treated to expansive views of the landscape below, transforming fields, houses, and people into mere dots.
Gradually, the sun began to rise over the mountains, illuminating the countryside beneath us, resulting in a breathtaking view!
Ultimately, our morning culminated in a celebratory toast with glasses of champagne, marking the extraordinary experience we shared soaring through the skies. It was an adventure that far surpassed our expectations.
