Your journey continues along the waterfront until you reach Little Venice, this area is the oldest and most photographed part of Hora. Take the time to enjoy cafés adorned with bougainvillea and water views before proceeding to the iconic windmills, symbols of Mykonos. Do remember, visiting at sunset attracts many other visitors.

The hike culminates at Fokos Beach, where nature predominate, accompanied by a lovely taverna. A short jaunt will take you to Mersini Beach, also less crowded, where tranquility reigns.

Delos

2.5 miles (4km) round trip; 3 hours; easy

The island of Delos, rich in Greek mythology, is easily reachable by a short boat ride from Hora. Home to numerous archaeological sites, a visit here is essential for history enthusiasts.

Your hike can begin at the steep trail leading to Mt Kynthos, from where you can observe the ancient ruins and visualize the layout of temples from the 3rd century BC. As you explore, keep an eye out for remaining structures such as the House of Hermes and the Grotto of Heracles.

With some of the most remarkable monuments from antiquity surrounding you, this hike allows you to step back into history while absorbing the serene beauty of Delos.
