Summary
This is a brief overview!
The afternoon commenced in Muizenberg…
…quickly followed by a visit to Boulder’s Beach to observe the penguins.
Although our ultimate destination was the Cape Peninsula, taking a short detour to Simon’s Town is certainly worthwhile during your journey outside of Cape Town.
If you have already stopped to view the penguins, you are already in Simon’s Town, so it would be prudent to explore the area further and perhaps enjoy a leisurely lunch.
We chose a location directly on the harbor, providing an excellent vantage point to observe water sports participants (and shark cage divers) preparing to embark…
The quality of the food varied, however.
… the prawns were moderately satisfactory.
However, we thoroughly enjoyed the melted Camembert…
… and the salad surpassed expectations.
Freshly prepared fish cakes…
… accompanied by an exceptional seafood platter!
Given the mixed reviews on the main dishes and appetizers, we opted to forego dessert and continue on our journey.
As you depart, do not neglect the breathtaking view of Simon’s Town from the mountain roads… it is definitely a sight to behold before proceeding to the Cape Peninsula! 🙂
