Famous Fathers and Their Famous Kids

Between the two of them, actors Donald and Kiefer Sutherland’s careers span almost 75 years. Kiefer is apparently named after Warren Kiefer, who directed Donald Sutherland’s theatrical film debut.
Who knew that the veteran “Days Of Our Lives” actor’s only daughter, Jennifer, would follow in his footsteps with a memorable stint on “Friends,” and then blossom to become America’s sweetheart?
With a string of box office hits (“Coming To America,” “Beverly Hills Cop”) and misses (“A Thousand Words”), Eddie Murphy has already had a full career. His eldest daughter, Bria, is trying to make her mark in beauty and fashion. She’s a spokesmodel for the Dark & Lovely hair care brand.
Like father, like son? Not so much. The “Growing Pains” actor became a household name with the 1980s sitcom, but son Robin wanted to take on music like his mom, Gloria Loring, who scored a pop hit in the 1980s with “Friends & Lovers” (with Carl Anderson).
The former NFL star turned sports analyst may have named his daughter, Condola, after his mom but the statuesque beauty surely wasn’t going to pursue a career making touchdowns. Well, maybe. This year, the actress was nominated for a Tony Award for her Broadway debut in the Alicia Keys-produced play “Stick Fly.”
After founding Motown Records and making it one of the biggest record labels in the world, Berry Gordy settled down from the music business and enjoyed the fruits of his labor. His son, Stefan Kendal (Redfoo), teamed up with grandson Skyler Austen (SkyBlu, not pictured here) to form the electro-pop duo LMFAO, who’ve become international sensations with their “party rock” dance club anthems.
The youngest of the Smith siblings, Willow is a triple threat — she can sing, dance and act. She made her acting debut alongside her dad in “I Am Legend.” She’s currently signed to Roc Nation records and is the youngest artist signed to the label.
Rumer is following in the footsteps of her famous parents Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. The actress has a string of acting roles on her résumé and recently won the Mirror Ball Trophy on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Rashida is known for her roles in hit TV shows like “Parks and Recreation” and “The Office.” Her famous music producer dad has won 27 Grammys.
The Douglases have received numerous acting awards and have branched out into side projects like producing and writing. There’s at least one thing Kirk has that Michael doesn’t — a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Angelina Jolie and her Oscar-winner dad Jon Voight share more than just a passion for stage and screen. Neither is shy about using star power to highlight topics they feel passionately about. She works to highlight the plight of refugees while he, has been active in support of Republican political candidates and conservative causes.
Martin is known for his roles in “The West Wing” and “Badlands” while son Charlie, formerly the star of “Two and a Half Men,” is better known for his offscreen entanglements.
Most daughters might find it awkward to have their dad sing the soundtrack to their movie makeout session (we’re talking about “Armageddon” for those not following), but Liv Tyler seems to have been OK with it. Maybe that’s what happens when you have a dad as cool (and famous) as Steven Tyler.
The father-son duo have shared the screen on many occasions, including “Zoolander” and “The Heartbreak Kid.”
Billy Ray Cyrus and daughter Miley share more than a love of singing and acting. The pair co-starred in the Disney Channel original series “Hannah Montana.”
