While in such a contemplative state, my thoughts trailed back to a Halloween gathering we hosted previously, which featured Yaya’s infamous vodka jelly shots. This inspired my curiosity regarding the concept of ‘solid cocktails.’ Although it may sound frivolous, the idea is more practical than it initially appears. Fortunately, the process of creating them is simpler than I had anticipated.

In essence, these are iced cocktail popsicles—a quintessential addition to your summer gatherings. They are refreshing and sure to enliven the spirits of you and your friends!

1. A popsicle maker (similar to this one here or this other option). The official term eludes me. Also, be sure to acquire popsicle sticks—they are essential.

2. Choose one of the cocktail recipes provided below. Ideally, one that is ‘alamakaholic’ (a humorous mispronunciation of ‘alcoholic’ shared by a friend, which has amusingly stuck with me).

The subsequent steps are straightforward: combine your ingredients expertly, pour the mixture into your popsicle maker, and present these delightful treats to your friends at your next outdoor BBQ event!
