It’s no secret that Italy is full of wonders and treasures – from the highest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world to breathtaking natural landscapes. The FAI, the Italian National Trust, has a census intended to rank Italy’s wonders based on their significance in the hearts of Italians.

Luoghi del Cuore Campaign

The Luoghi del Cuore (literally Places of the Heart) campaign aims to highlight the richness of art and nature throughout Italy. Individuals vote both online and offline for their favorite places in the beautiful country, compiling a general ranking that has recently been published. Here are the top five locations that won the hearts of many this year.

1. Castello di Sammezzano, Tuscany

The Castello di Sammezzano is a unique residence dating back to the 16th century, obtaining its current look when purchased by a marquis fascinated by Orientalism. It stands as one of the most significant examples of this style in Italy and Europe, surrounded by a public park spanning 187 acres.
