Nestled in the southeast of London, this locality often does not receive the acknowledgment it unquestionably merits, yet it offers a plethora of exceptional activities for exploration.

Iconic locations such as Shoreditch and Covent Garden often capture attention, yet there exists a multitude of more captivating spots to discover in London if you are willing to look beyond the surface. (In fact, Shoreditch was once regarded as one of those “less glamorous” areas before it became the popular enclave it is known as today).

Whether you are a London local or merely an admirer of the city, you will undoubtedly encounter an abundance of engaging activities and experiences to appreciate in Peckham.

Located on the rooftop of a car park (surprisingly attractive), Frank’s is an ideal venue for witnessing the sunset over London while sipping on refreshing Pimm’s, sangria, or local brews.

As daylight transitions into night, Frank’s transforms into a lively space that attracts a diverse crowd, making it one of the premier activities in Peckham for socializing with friends.

6.) Find some vinyl and local brews at Rye Wax

This location consistently surprises me. From the exterior, Rye Wax may not appear remarkable, but once inside, it exudes an extraordinary ambiance.

This cozy spot features an extensive selection of vintage vinyl, along with a variety of retro board games for an entertaining time. The venue often has a live DJ spinning tracks that are both refreshing and nostalgic.

Hence, if you have an appreciation for vinyl, this is an excellent location and one of the best experiences in Peckham to enjoy.

This venue is undoubtedly a top option for fitness enthusiasts visiting London, although it may not appeal to those uninterested in workout regimens.

9.) Head to K-ink for some of the best tattoos in the city

While you may think about leaving London with a classic keychain or a London bus magnet, if you desire something more enduring, be sure to visit K-ink.

The dedicated team at K-ink takes pride in their artistry, delivering some of the most beautiful tattoos you can find. I still haven’t gathered the courage to get inked myself, but this is a highly recommended place I frequently hear great things about.

If you are inclined to get a tattoo, make sure to schedule your appointment in advance and allow sufficient time for your sessions. A half-finished tattoo is rarely a pleasant sight!

10.) Go thrift shopping at TRAID Peckham

Situated on Rye Lane, TRAID Peckham is a trendy thrift store known for its collection of iconic pieces that are certain to catch your eye. If you’re on the hunt for 1980’s tracksuits, vintage varsity jackets, or sparkly slippers, this is the place to be.

However, do not blame me if you exit with a bag filled with clashing and wonderfully eccentric outfits.

11.) Grab some Nollywood classics from Rye Lane Market

I can assure you that the selection of Nollywood titles is extensive—several hundred seem to be available at any given time. Therefore, if you are a fan of Nollywood cinema, be sure to check this spot out.

12.) Find some art at MOCA London

Located within minutes of Peckham Rye Station, it houses an impressive array of rotating installations that are both beautiful and thought-provoking.

Make sure to coordinate your visit to align with their hours, which are Thursday and Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM and Saturday from 12 PM to 4 PM
