Celebrity Edge Cruise: An In-Depth Review
Writing reviews is a rare endeavor for me, as I often find them tedious. However, when an experience surpasses expectations—akin to enjoying a delightful chocolate cake only to detect hints of citrus—I feel compelled to share it!
Recently, I embarked on the inaugural cruise aboard the Celebrity Edge Cruise ship, which dramatically altered my perception of cruising.
What is the Celebrity Edge Cruise Ship like?
The Staterooms
To begin with, the stateroom is your personal space throughout the cruise. The standard staterooms offer 25% more space than traditional cabins, primarily due to their innovative retractable balconies.
This feature seamlessly integrates the balcony into the living space, significantly enhancing comfort and availability. Imagine adding a quarter to your current home; it makes a noticeable difference!
The Suites
The suites were quite astonishing; much of the ambiance mirrors that of upscale hotels in major cities like London or New York.
The spacious layouts present in some suites exceed the size of entire apartments in urban locales. Experiencing luxurious surroundings while sailing to stunning destinations redefines expectations of cruise accommodations.
The Bars
Without a doubt, my favorite is the Martini bar. Its appeal drew me in immediately.
Additionally, there are various other bars throughout the ship, including outdoor and entertainment venues—ensuring a plentiful selection of beverages no matter where you are on board.
The Restaurants
Beginning with Eden, this exceptional dining venue emphasizes the need for pre-reservation.
Eden delivers an immersive dining experience, where the focus is predominantly on exceptional cuisine, supplemented by engaging ambiance and service.
The Spa
This spa offers a comprehensive assortment of amenities, delivering an experience synonymous with relaxation and rejuvenation. With essentials like steam rooms and saunas, it is bound to leave guests feeling indulgently refreshed.
The Magic Carpet
The Magic Carpet, recognized as the world’s first floating platform on a cruise ship, provides various functionalities throughout the cruise, from dining venues to performance spaces.
Heading there at sunset, particularly when it faces west, grants an opportunity to witness breathtaking coastal sunsets.
Amenities and Additional Offerings
The Celebrity Edge Cruise encompasses a range of pools, including an indoor and outdoor option, ensuring relaxation in all climates.
The outdoor area features luxurious hot tubs and dedicated spaces for suite guests, enhancing the overall relaxation experience.
While I did not indulge in a massage during this trip, the treatment rooms appeared aesthetically pleasing and comforting.
