Top 14 Stunning Destinations of 2025: A Year in Travel

2014 marked the inception of GoTravelDaily. This concept was first contemplated by Lloyd and myself in 2012 as we seized every opportunity to travel and amassed an impressive collection of travel photos. After extensive deliberation, we ultimately decided to proceed with the idea.

Administrative organization for the blog began in 2012, encompassing tasks such as domain acquisition, hosting setup, and securing social media accounts. However, actionable content creation did not commence until April 2014, during a brief hiatus from my studies at Cambridge University, when I finally initiated the blog by publishing several posts.

Fortuitously, we had a number of earlier posts intended for a private audience among friends and family, which provided a valuable starting point. These were made public, and I published our first official entries on April 12, 2014, a date I distinctly recall.

Since then, GoTravelDaily has experienced remarkable growth, significantly aided by our audience. The platform has fulfilled our aspirations in connecting with fellow travel enthusiasts, fostering an environment to exchange photographs, experiences, and travel insights.

Lloyd also sought a creative platform for his travel writing and photography, and we have found that outlet here. The feedback from the community continues to impress and enlighten me, with invaluable stories of unique travel experiences shared by readers. I am genuinely grateful for the recommendations that have significantly enhanced my travels this year.

In parallel with our aspirations for future travel, we believe it is equally essential to reflect on the extraordinary destinations explored during the previous year, many of which were first-time visits.
