Thailand is a place that always surprises me.
I remember the first time I visited – we were heading to Phuket and then to the Phi Phi Islands. I had a totally different expectation of Thailand. The movies and TV shows I had seen depicted it as a hectic, manic, and incredibly humid place, and I arrived totally expecting something different from the truth.
That first trip showcased how utterly beautiful and amazing Thailand truly is, contrasting sharply with my prior expectations. We spent days on the most breathtaking beaches I had ever encountered, explored hidden water-logged jungles in the middle of caves, and snorkelled in pristine waters teeming with vibrant marine life.
Experiences in Thailand
Returning to Thailand on my latest journey, particularly to the vast city of Bangkok, I again held different anticipations. I can’t quite explain what my expectations were; however, I was pleasantly surprised by how relaxed the city felt.
Make no mistake – Bangkok is whatever you choose it to be! If you desire a party atmosphere, you’ve come to the right place. If you prefer to unwind by the pool in luxury, you’ve found your destination. If you want to explore incredible architecture and rich history, you are in the right city.

This versatility is evident in the diverse age groups that visit as well! From toddlers barely able to walk (accompanied by their families, of course) to seniors and grandparents, everyone finds their niche here!
