Even if your FastPass+ plans are set and hotel reservations are confirmed, you’re not quite ready for the Magic Kingdom until you know how you’ll navigate around the park. Deciding whether to buy or rent a stroller for a Walt Disney World vacation requires careful consideration. With recent updates to Disney’s stroller policies, planning ahead is more crucial than ever. Even if your child typically doesn’t need a stroller at home, you might find stroller rentals beneficial during your visit. The parks are expansive, and little ones who usually have boundless energy may tire as the day progresses. While it’s not a necessity for everyone, it’s comforting to know that the option is available for your convenience.

If you’re pondering whether to bring your stroller from home or explore Disney stroller rentals once you arrive at “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” this comprehensive guide will answer all your questions about Disney World stroller rentals, from cost-saving tips to essential information before your arrival.

Check the Size Requirements

If you’re bringing your own stroller, ensure you check Disney’s guidelines since they have recently changed. Strollers must not exceed 31” (79 cm) in width and 52” (132 cm) in length, and stroller wagons are prohibited at Walt Disney World.

While strollers are not required to be collapsible for use within the parks, having a collapsible stroller is recommended, especially if you plan to utilize Walt Disney World transportation. Strollers must be folded while using Disney resort buses, which are commonly used for transit between hotels and parks, as well as on parking lot trams.

Strollers can remain open on the Walt Disney World Skyliner gondola system and the Walt Disney World monorail, which connects Magic Kingdom to EPCOT, the Ticket and Transportation Center, and surrounding hotels. (For those utilizing Disney’s Magical Express, the complimentary service between Orlando International Airport and Walt Disney World hotels, strollers can be stored under the coach bus.)

Rent From Disney

Disney provides stroller rentals at all four theme parks and Disney Springs. Rental locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Magic Kingdom are conveniently located just inside each park on the right-hand side; EPCOT has stroller rental spots at the main entrance and the International Gateway within the World Showcase. For Disney Springs, visit Sundries for a stroller rental; this small shop can be found across from the bus transportation pick-up loop.

A single stroller, recommended for children under fifty pounds, costs $15 per day, while a double stroller, designed for children up to 100 pounds, costs $31 daily. Additionally, consider multi-day Disney stroller rental discounts, which can lead to significant savings. By paying for your entire stay upfront, Walt Disney World offers discounts of a few dollars, charging $13 per day for single strollers and $27 per day for double stroller multi-day rentals. (Disney stroller rentals from the Disney Springs location require a $100 credit card deposit; rentals from all other locations do not necessitate a deposit.)

Keep in mind that Disney stroller rentals must remain within the theme parks. If you intend to use a stroller on Disney transportation, guests are required to return their stroller upon exiting the park and display their receipt at the next destination to pick up another rental, so storing that receipt safely is key.

Rent From a Third-Party

Numerous local providers offer Disney stroller rentals, but Walt Disney World exclusively partners with one company: ScooterBug. ScooterBug’s Disney World stroller rentals can often be more affordable than park rents, with the added convenience of delivery directly to your Disney hotel room, irrespective of your presence. This is a significant advantage over other popular rental services such as Kingdom Stroller, Magic Strollers, Best Price Scooters and Strollers, and Orlando Stroller Rentals, all of which require guest presence for delivery.

Prepare Your Stroller

Many guests bring accessories such as clip-on fans to keep their little ones comfy. Moreover, Undercover Tourist suggests packing a spare towel and poncho in your stroller to safeguard it against Florida’s unpredictable afternoon rainstorms. However, the most crucial reason for personalizing your stroller lies in its distinctiveness.

Disney World strollers are nearly identical, creating potential confusion. Although each of the four parks offers ample stroller parking, Disney employees may relocate your stroller while you’re waiting in line for attractions. Thus, it can be extremely helpful, especially when renting a Disney stroller, to bring along a sign, ribbon, or other unique identifiers to easily locate your stroller amidst the sea of others.
