Top 5 Hotels in New Orleans for 2025 According to GoTravelDaily Readers

Welcome to the Big Easy, where enjoyment abounds as you meander along Bourbon Street with a hurricane cocktail in hand, gathering beads during Mardi Gras celebrations, indulging in jambalaya and beignets, or swaying to the live jazz for which the city is renowned. New Orleans is a quintessential Southern city with a distinctive atmosphere, largely due to its rich blend of French, African, and American cultures. However, when you are not out exploring Louisiana’s largest city, you will desire a comfortable home base where you can rejuvenate (or ignite the festivities) for another exciting day in NOLA.

How Voting Works

Each year for our World’s Best Awards survey, GoTravelDaily invites readers to express their views on global travel experiences—offering their insights on the premier hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise lines, spas, airlines, and more. Nearly 165,000 readers participated in the 2023 survey, representing an increase of approximately 25 percent compared to pre-pandemic voting levels. In total, over 685,000 votes were cast across more than 8,500 unique properties (including hotels, cities, and cruise lines).

Hotels were organized into categories such as resort hotels, city hotels, or safari lodges based on their location and offerings, and were evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • Rooms/facilities
  • Location
  • Service
  • Food
  • Value

For each aspect, survey participants could select a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores represent averages calculated from these responses.
