Fun Facts About Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Dumbo the Flying Elephant opened in 1955 but was not ready for the grand opening. It underwent remodeling in 1983.

Initially, there was a plan to paint the elephants pink, reminiscent of a scene in the film where Dumbo and his mouse friend Timothy drink champagne and dream of vibrant pink elephants. However, Walt Disney opposed this idea, fearing it would be inappropriate and ordered the elephants to remain gray instead.

The nearby Casey Jr Circus Train ride also draws inspiration from the Dumbo film.
