Kbest National Parks to Explore in Central America

Central America is a narrow strip of land with a remarkable geographical position. It is close to the equator and enjoys proximity to both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. These three elements result in lush tropical forests, abundant rivers, breathtaking beaches, extensive lakes, and nearly year-round spring-like weather. Additionally, this region serves as a sanctuary for thousands of diverse animal species.

In an effort to preserve these natural treasures, local governments have designated numerous areas as national parks, reserves, and sanctuaries. Many of these sites are accessible to the public for a nominal fee, allowing visitors to experience the region’s beauty. With so many options, however, how do you choose which parks to visit? Below, we highlight some of the best national parks in Central America.

Visitors can hike close to the volcano and witness iconic lava flows, making it a thrilling experience.
