The Cloudveil: A Gem in Jackson Hole
Ever since The Cloudveil, Autograph Collection, made its debut in Jackson Hole in May 2021, it’s become not only one of the region’s most beloved hotels, but an integral part of the community. Consequently, it quickly nabbed the top spot in GoTravelDaily World’s Best Awards’ inaugural best Wyoming resort category, first recognized on GoTravelDaily’s 2022 editor-curated It List of best new hotels.
Bruce Grosbety, the property’s regional vice president and general manager, expressed gratitude for the recognition. He emphasized that “our team is so thankful to our amazing guests and the GoTravelDaily readers for this tremendous acknowledgment.”
Prime Location
The 100-room property enjoys a prime location on George Washington Memorial Park, also known as the city’s Town Square, surrounded by art galleries, eateries, and boutiques, and within walking distance of the city’s most popular spots. These include the lively Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, local favorite The Bunnery, notable Pinky G’s Pizzeria, and the charming Persephone Bakery.
Moreover, the hotel stands close to two of the nation’s most cherished national parks: Grand Teton National Park, which is just five miles north, and Yellowstone National Park, located approximately 60 miles north.
Accommodations and Amenities
The Cloudveil embraces its enviable setting with a dedicated team called Pathfinders, outdoor-savvy concierges who guide guests toward the best hiking, biking, and whitewater rafting tours. They also organize wildlife-spotting excursions with companies like EcoTour Adventures. Furthermore, convenience is a priority; during ski and snowboard season, fittings for gear can be arranged at the hotel, with equipment sent directly to nearby ski resorts.
The hotel also features a dog-friendly environment with a pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Additionally, the standout rooftop terrace presents stunning sunset views and hosts engaging programming such as yoga, meditation, stargazing, and live music.
Notably, the coveted rooftop space has started welcoming the public on select evenings from 5 to 9:30 p.m. as The Rooftop Bar at The Cloudveil, offering street food and a comprehensive bar menu. During the warm months, the rooftop is adorned with couches and fire pits, providing a cozy retreat from the day’s adventures.
Dining Experience
A highlight of The Cloudveil is its in-house restaurant, The Bistro, a Parisian-inspired brasserie helmed by Gavin Fine and Fine Dining Restaurant Group. The raw bar is particularly popular, while Grosbety recommends trying the plates of the day: Monday’s short ribs, Friday’s seared scallops, and Sunday’s coq au vin.
