Discovering the Beauty of the Black Forest in Germany
Our first day in Germany was one filled with lots of excitement! See mere 48 hours before, we weren’t even sure we’d be able to make it to Germany. After weeks of being stuck at home, unable to travel, we didn’t take this opportunity lightly at all. Our destination this time would be the Black Forest. We actually flew into Stuttgart, but after our previous trip to Stuttgart (link here) – we decided to skip Stuttgart on this trip and go straight to the Black Forest.
An Exciting Day in Germany
One part of the Black Forest that had always intrigued me was The Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald Tower. This huge impressive tower sits in the middle of the Black Forest, and you can walk to the very top. Therefore, within minutes of arriving in the Black Forest, we headed straight for the tower.
Exploring the Black Forest
To get to The Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald Tower, we traversed through a fantastic treetop walk. It’s an exciting and enjoyable walkway, giving you the opportunity to take in the breathtaking views of Germany’s Black Forest.
Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald Tower Tour
After a short walk, we arrived at The Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald Tower. The pathway to the top is circular, and the incline is gentle, which makes it quite accessible, allowing for stunning views of the forest’s grandeur with each step you take.
Undeniably Amazing Food in Baden-Baden
After descending from the tower, we made our way to the Wildline Suspension Bridge. The bridge, just a short walk from the tower, offers stunning views of the Black Forest.
Upon arriving, we noticed a beautiful display of geothermal fountains with spa water, enticing visitors to take a dip.
For dinner that night, we had the pleasure to dine at a highly recommended restaurant called Fritz and Felix. The food was worth the hype, providing us with an incredible culinary experience.
With our bellies full from the delightful meal, we looked forward to the next day of exploring more of the exceptional landscapes of the Black Forest.
