Pantai Tanjung Tinggi Beach

Pantai Tanjung Tinggi Beach offers a stunning blend of white sand, smooth granite boulders, and crystal-clear turquoise water. Nestled within a small bay, the calm waters make it an ideal spot for swimming and exploration.

Adventurous visitors will enjoy exploring the boulders, some of which have banyan trees with intricate root systems. Notably, one massive boulder is referred to as Papaya Rock.

However, it’s important to note that some litter can be found around the beach area. Consequently, if local efforts can improve cleanliness, this beach has the potential to become world-class.

Pantai Laskar Pelangi

Pantai Tanjung Tinggi served as one of the filming locations for the Indonesian film Laskar Pelangi in 2008, which significantly boosted tourism in the area. The beach is fondly nicknamed Pantai Laskar Pelangi or “Rainbow Troop Beach” due to its cinematic fame.

A sign at the beach entrance provides details about its appearance in the movie.
