1. About Global Winter Wonderland
Truly one of the most impressive holiday displays in the region, Global Winter Wonderland combines cutting-edge technology, top-notch entertainment, and fantastic exhibitions for an unforgettable show. The event is organized by the International Culture Exchange Group, led by founder Lulu Huang. When Huang moved to the U.S. as a teenager, she aimed to create a spectacular representation of various cultures reflecting diverse California. Global Winter Wonderland has previously taken place in Santa Clara, Atlanta, and now in Sacramento – recognized as one of the most culturally diverse cities in the nation.
2. Things to See
The Worlds of Light section is the most popular destination at Global Winter Wonderland. The Global Village showcases the world’s greatest structures illuminated with countless lights. Major exhibits include the Eiffel Tower and Russia’s St. Basil Cathedral. After you’ve marveled at the illuminated beauty of world travel, venture over to the Holiday Fun section for snowmen and other festive displays representing Santa’s village. For a change of pace and to thrill the little ones, check out the Dinosaurs exhibit, where these legendary species are brought to life in a stunning display. The Worlds of Lights also features a rich history of Chinese lantern festivals, nightly entertainment, rides, shopping, and various international foods that rotate nightly.
Entertainment is as diverse as the event’s visitors, featuring the Circus of Light. This troupe of acrobats, jugglers, fire dancers, and contortionists from around the globe will captivate you with their nightly performances on stages throughout the park. Additionally, there are musical guests that add to the festive atmosphere.
Rides and games are plentiful at Global Winter Wonderland, featuring over 30 options. Rides typically require 3-5 individual tickets (approximately $1 per ticket), or you can opt for an unlimited ride wristband. Both thrill and family-friendly rides are available, making it a perfect way to enjoy the festivities whether at night or during the day.
3. Wonderful Eats
All of the excitement will surely work up an appetite, and fortunately, Global Winter Wonderland offers plenty of options to satisfy your cravings. Choose from a variety of cuisine options:
