A New Dive Coaster Coming in 2018
The summer of 2018 will see the introduction of HangTime, a thrilling new steel rollercoaster. This coaster will be uniquely positioned as the only dive coaster on the West Coast, boasting a negative-G stall loop. Towering at 150 feet, HangTime promises gravity-defying inversions, mid-air suspensions, and exciting twisting dive tracks.
Sol Spin Opens in Fiesta Village
Exciting new additions for 2017 include the all-new thrill ride, Sol Spin. Located in Fiesta Village next to Jaguar, this ride allows participants to spin in all directions on rays of the sun, hoisted six stories above the ground.
Knott’s Soak City is Open with 7 New Slides
Knott’s Soak City has expanded its offerings with two new water slide towers. One of the highlights includes Shore Break, which rises to seven stories and features six water slide experiences, including four equipped with the Aqua-Launch chamber. This thrilling drop sends riders into a free fall through translucent flumes filled with loops and S-curves. Another addition is The Wedge, an open-air family raft ride replacing the Pacific Spin.
The water park opened on May 20, 2017, and operates daily through August 27, subsequently offering special hours during Labor Day Weekend and a bonus weekend in September.
Ghost Town Alive is Back for Summer 2017
The beloved Ghost Town Alive returns, featuring numerous opportunities to engage with the residents of Ghost Town. Visitors can participate in interactive activities, including an all-ages square dance on Calico Square.
Farewell to Boomerang
Don’t miss your chance to ride the classic Boomerang reverse shuttle coaster, which will close permanently on April 23, following the Boysenberry Festival.
Boysenberry Festival Returns to Knott’s
Although boysenberry specialties are offered year-round at Knott’s, the spring Boysenberry Festival features special live entertainment and an array of unique treats, from BBQ to desserts and specialty beverages. The festival runs from April 1-23, 2017.
75th Anniversary of Ghost Town
This summer, Knott’s Berry Farm will be celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Ghost Town with an immersive experience called Ghost Town Alive! Through this event, guests can engage in interactive character experiences and participate in exciting new stories set in the old west. This celebration runs from May 27, 2016, through September 5, 2016, alongside the fully restored Ghost Rider coaster featuring new trains and refreshed wooden track.
Knott’s Unveils Voyage to the Iron Reef May 15, 2015
Opened on May 15, 2015, the new 4-D interactive ride, Voyage to the Iron Reef, invites riders to join the adventure against the Kraken Queen and her army of mechanical sea creatures that have hoarded artifacts from Knott’s history. This thrilling ride, which spans an area as large as 2 football fields, offers each participant a unique experience as they engage with animated creatures using their “freezer blaster” laser guns, obliterating sea monsters along the way.
With a backdrop of submerged remnants from the historic Knott’s Boardwalk and familiar icons showcased across 11 immersive screens, this ride is designed to accommodate 800 riders per hour. Riders must meet a height requirement of 46″ to enjoy this adventure.

Rides Added in 2014
A number of thrilling rides were introduced in 2014, which included a revamped Calico Mine Ride, showcasing dozens of new animatronic characters and special effects. Additionally, Camp Snoopy received a complete makeover, featuring:
- Linus Launcher: A unique carousel ride that allows guests to lie on their stomachs as if flying.
- Charlie Brown’s Kite Flyer: A carousel swing designed for bench seats, accommodating parents and children or two kids side by side.
- Pig Pen’s Mud Buggies: A circular mini-car ride replacing the Log Peeler.
- Rapid River Run: A re-themed Lucy’s Tugboat ride.
- New trucks for Rocky Mountain Trucking.
- Expansion of character meet and greet areas.
- A new themed play and picnic area with a gazebo.
