Experience the AquaDuck Water Coaster aboard the Disney Dream

Water slides are prevalent on cruise ships; however, the AquaDuck stands out as the only water coaster with roller-coaster-like drops and g-forces. Located on the top decks of the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, AquaDuck is a signature attraction in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

The 765-foot-long AquaDuck is elevated high above Deck 11 on tall stilts. This water coaster circles the ship in a transparent acrylic tube, with water jets propelling riders through uphill sections. Most of the ride happens in a clear tube, while a section is enclosed as it travels through the ship’s forward funnel.

Riders sit on rubber rafts that accommodate two people. Since most of the ride occurs in a transparent acrylic tube, riders can enjoy views of the surroundings. Riders must follow these key guidelines:

  • Kids must be at least 42 inches tall to ride the AquaDuck.
  • Kids who meet the height requirement but are under seven years old must be accompanied by another rider at least 14 years old.
  • Kids must be at least 54 inches tall to ride alone.

  • The AquaDuck uses approximately 10,000 gallons of water per minute.
  • In the Edge, the tweens’ lounge, several windows allow kids to catch a glimpse of AquaDuck riders as they zoom past.
  • At night, the AquaDuck lights up, offering a colorful and different experience on the ride.
