Overview of Kings Island
Kings Island, located between Columbus and Cincinnati, is consistently rated as a family favorite amusement park. The 364-acre park features 14 roller coasters, a 15-acre water park, a classic merry-go-round, a children’s area, and an abundance of shops, food stands, and exciting rides.
Tickets are available from Kings Island–online, by mail, by phone, or in person at the attraction’s onsite ticket office (open seasonally). Moreover, several discounts are accessible, both from the park itself and from other area retailers.
Kings Island opens for the 2016 season on April 17.
Online Discount Tickets
Buy your Kings Island admission tickets online and save! The single day adult admission is just $42.99 if you buy online and print your own ticket. This compares to $63.99 if you buy your ticket at the gate.
Season Passes
If you plan to visit Kings Island more than once this season, you can save money by purchasing a season pass. Passes for 2016 start at $120.00 per adult, and you can pay in three equal monthly payments.
The gold season pass includes free parking and early admission, while the platinum pass provides unlimited admission not only to Kings Island but also to any other Cedar Fair park (including Cedar Point) for the 2016 season. For more information, visit the Kings Island Website.
AAA Discounts
Many northeast Ohio AAA locations offer their members discounts on regular Kings Island admission tickets.
Group Tickets
You can also save money by bringing at least 14 other people with you when you come to the park, perhaps neighbors or friends from church. For 2016, group rates start at $37.50 per adult. In addition, you can add a picnic lunch for your group for just $11.50 extra.

Pink Days for 2016 have yet to be announced.
Resort Guest Discounts
Several hotels near Kings Island, including the Kings Island Resort and Conference Center, offer discounted Kings Island passes to their guests.
Meijers Stores Discounts
Meijers, the large Ohio discount retailer, offers discount tickets to Kings Island, Cedar Point, and other area attractions seasonally. Prices for the 2016 tickets have not yet been announced. Free Military Days
Kings Island honors America’s fighting men and women (both active and retired) by offering free admission on Memorial Day and July 4th weekends. Valid dates for 2016 are May 21-24 and July 2-4.
