Ever since I received my first camera, the Canon AE1, when I was 13, I have been drawn to photography. There was something special about being able to capture a moment in time and freeze it right there on film. My infatuation with imagery continued as I ventured into moving pictures in my 20s and has since culminated in my current role as a full-time travel photographer.

Photography continues to energize me every day. I am constantly inspired not only by the world around me but also by the talented individuals that make this such an exciting profession. Images evoke a sense of emotion, much like travel does; when these two elements merge, the result is breathtaking.

Many travel photographers inspire me with their commitment to preserve stunning moments and their dedication to producing some of the most beautiful travel photography I have ever seen. Inspired by their work, I reached out to several photographers for their advice on breaking into travel photography.

Colby Brown
