Summary
Pura Segara Temple
Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur, known locally as the water temple on Batur Lake, is a stunning temple situated on the edge of Lake Batur. This temple is in close proximity to another site called Pura Jati and boasts magnificent views of the surrounding mountains.
While it shares some similarities with the renowned Lake Bratan temple in Bedugul, it is far less crowded, allowing for a more peaceful experience. During our visit, we were the only tourists present, making it an excellent spot for photographs and quiet reflection.
A bridge connects visitors to the temple, allowing exploration within its tranquil surroundings.
Entrance Fee
The entrance fee to Pura Segara is 20,000 Rupiah (approximately $1 USD) as of 2024. However, you may encounter periods when no staff are present to collect the fee, offering an opportunity to visit the temple for free.
