Living Spaces Preferences
My preference embodies two distinct living environments: (1) modern, minimalist aesthetics, and (2) charming, rustic architectures. Typically, it is uncommon to discover a harmonious blend of both styles. Should you have any suggestions regarding locations in London that exhibit such a fusion, please do share. My aspiration is to achieve a well-balanced combination of both styles, envisioning minimalist living areas paired with rustic kitchens below.
Functional Vintage Furniture
London is abundant in modern apartments, and I frequently encounter myself gravitating toward such spaces. In an effort to incorporate diverse styles, I endeavor to include authentic vintage furnishings that serve practical purposes. Here are three of my preferred functional vintage items:
The Underwood Typewriter. This nostalgic piece evokes memories of Frank and Claire Underwood, particularly following the series’ latest season. I chanced upon one in an antique store in Roswell, New Mexico, where I went on a small spree purchasing vintage goods. Regrettably, I could not acquire the typewriter as it would have substantially surpassed my baggage weight limit.
The Classic Record Player! I remain in pursuit of this item. Many that I have discovered either appear overly modern, featuring digital components like radio players, CD players, or iPod docks, or simply do not align with the vintage aesthetic I envision.
Jukeboxes – the allure of these items is universally understood. However, their exorbitant pricing often presents a barrier.
