Summary
My adventure in the Maldives commenced on a propeller aircraft alongside my parents and younger brother. The one-hour flight was rather pleasant. Upon arrival, the courteous staff assisted us with our luggage, readily identifiable by their cheerful demeanor and willingness to help. Their warm smiles were indeed welcoming!
During our transit to the boat, I anticipated feeling famished after our extensive journey; however, the staff provided a delightful, refreshing drink. They prioritized our safety and ensured we donned life jackets, bringing enthusiasm to what turned out to be one of my most enjoyable boat rides.
Among my preferred activities is dining, and there are numerous venues, yet my top choice was the exquisite French restaurant — The Fulhumaa — situated over the water.
The extensive breakfast buffet options were remarkable. I relished interacting with the various staff members, each maintaining a cheerful disposition. My parents opted for an unlimited dining package, affording us the opportunity to enjoy meals at our leisure. The quality of the restaurants, cafes, and bars was exceptional. Would it be worthwhile to visit? Absolutely. Every dish was delectable, and I cherished the autonomy to embark on adventures with my younger brother, sampling treats that my parents might otherwise have declined!
I greatly enjoyed snorkeling, as there was an abundance of marine life! We snorkeled for hours daily, marveling at the beautiful turtles and the priceless coral reef directly accessible from the beach!
The fishing experiences were equally enjoyable; I successfully caught a Barracuda, which the chef prepared as our lunch the following day. It was the finest fish I have ever tasted.
The tubing activity was tremendously fun and slightly intimidating. I fell off once, yet I felt secure knowing the boat driver promptly halted the vessel to rescue me. It was an exhilarating experience, and I laughed heartily with my brother as we joyfully bounced across the water like yo-yos.
Subsequently, feeling a bit sore from tubing, my father graciously offered me his reserved massage session. I felt incredibly fortunate, as the cool environment of the massage room was utterly divine.
I genuinely appreciated the autonomy my parents afforded me; I was able to check in and out of the Kids Club independently and participate in activities, such as the engaging cooking class with the chef. We toured the kitchen facility that catered to the entire island and prepared delicious cupcakes — which my father indulged in.
Feeling immensely grateful and fortunate to stay on such a paradise island, I now have cherished memories from our extraordinary family vacation at The Residence Maldives.
