The Faroe Islands are conveniently located approximately 1.5 hours from Edinburgh, with direct flights available from Atlantic Airways, the official carrier for the islands. Our journey started with a train ride from London to Edinburgh, where we enjoyed a couple of days rekindling friendships and indulging in traditional Scottish cuisine.

Saksun Church is located on the island of Streymoy, roughly a 45-minute drive from the airport and an hour from the capital, Torshavn. The picturesque village, characterized by a few houses and innumerable sheep, surrounds this serene church that seems almost timeless.
A leisurely stroll around the region will unveil the dramatic inlet and captivating scenery surrounding this delightful Faroese church.

Located on the same island as the airport, Mulafossur Waterfall is easily accessible by car, typically involving a journey through some mountain tunnels.
